Believing in the unbelievable – how the unbelievable reveals deep truths if you are prepared to listen patiently and reflect.

In a world in which science and research provide sufficient proof of what exists and what does not, what is ‘true’ and what is not, many people find it difficult to process experiences that cannot be directly explained and proven.
The truth of the unbelievable can reveal itself to us in many ways. Be it through a gut feeling; a dream; a vision of the future; the intuitive knowledge of being in the right place at the right time; or through the realisation of being in the wrong place and wanting to make a change.
When we feel something deep within us that ‘pulls’ us, that ‘calls’ us – when we are at the beginning of the process of realising a deep truth, however incredible or uncomfortable it may be – then this can trigger great fear. Because what we don’t understand and can’t explain seems far beyond our control.
The challenge is often not to recognise those truths – because it does make itself felt through our mental state and our physical reactions. Not answering the call of the unbelievable can have a negative impact on our mental and physical well-being. This happens due to the contradiction between the progressive realisation of the inexplicable and unconsciously initiated denial processes that are supposed to protect us from confronting the inexplicable.
The real challenge is therefore to give space to those realisations, the unbelievable, the deep truth, to listen to it and, if possible, to follow it.
